Our history
1995
The start of Breedijk
Nico Breedijk founds the company. From his bedroom, with a phone on the table, he starts as an independent contractor in the Hoofddorp region.
1996
The first employee
A year after founding, Nico hires his first employee. The demand for skilled construction in the region grows, and client trust confirms he's on the right track.
1997
The first business premises
A business premises is rented on Robijnlaan in Hoofddorp. From this first workspace, the foundation is laid for further growth.
2000
A property of our own
Breedijk purchases its first property on Graftermeerstraat in Hoofddorp. With multiple carpenters and office support, the team steadily grows.
2007
Move to Wijkermeerstraat
The company moves to its current property at Wijkermeerstraat 35 in Hoofddorp. A larger location provides space for the growing team and new ambitions.
2025
A new chapter
After nearly 30 years, Nico transfers the business to his son Matthew Breedijk. The core values — honesty, craftsmanship, and personal involvement — remain the unchanged foundation.
